Both murdered in the shelter of Omer Vahab’s house; Carolin was 22 years old
Danny and Carolin had been good friends for a few years. Both lived in Berlin, Germany. Carolin was studying there. In September 2023, Carolin and Danny had the idea to fly to Israel together. Carolin loved to travel. The two had a wonderful time. Carolin loved Nir Oz. She said it was “heaven on earth.”
Carolin was incredibly kind-hearted and friendly. She was a truly special person. She always made people laugh and enchanted them with her liveliness and zest for life. We miss her terribly.
In Germany, there is an organization that is doing its best to support the reconstruction of Nir Oz. Sonja, Carolin’s mother, is also a member of this organization. It is very important to her to see her daughter’s little paradise—where Carolin felt so at home during the last 1.5 weeks of her life – shine again.
