Here Lived
Irina Tati made Aliyah in April 2021 and lived in Nir Oz since her arrival. Irina rented a house next to her only daughter, Lena Troufanov, and her only grandson, Sasha Troufanov.
Irina worked her entire life as a pediatrician in Russia. She loved to stroll in the kibbutz and enjoyed its views.
October 7th
On October 7th, 2023, Irina was kidnapped from her home, separately from the rest of her family. Irina, who is not a Hebrew speaker, was held in captivity with people she did not know. Irina and her daughter Lena returned to Israel on November 29, 2023, as part of the first hostage deal.
What Happened Since
Irina lived in K’far Hamaccabiah after her return, with her daughter Lena and her grandson Sasha, who was released as part of the second hostage deal after being held in captivity by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad for 498 days. She now lives in Ramat Gan.
